Throughout our lives many of us have grown to believe that external things, other people, and looking a certain way are what will bring us true and lasting happiness.
We tell ourselves things like this:
As long as you believe that your happiness is connected to something external, you will not be truly happy. Can these things bring some momentary happiness? Sure, but they most likely won't bring deep, long lasting happiness. That type of happiness comes from within. Happiness is not something that happens to you. It is something you choose or don’t choose. Today, choose to be aware of what you are attaching your happiness to, and consciously limit the thoughts about what you believe you "need" externally to be happy. Choose to move into love and compassion for yourself and others and gratitude for what you are and discover your happiness in this present moment. The more you can do this, the more that happiness and abundance will find you.

1) Chop 1/2 red onion, 1 red bell pepper, 1 Zucchini and throw it into your pot and turn heat on.
2) Chop up pre cooked chicken and throw it into pot. 3) Open up a can of black beans, white northern beans, and diced tomatoes; dump all 3 into the pot. 4) Add one package of white chicken chili seasoning. 5) Add 1 cup of water and stir it all up. 6) Cook for 15-20 minutes. 7) Let cool and serve. 8) Optional toppings: avocado, Greek yogurt, lime, cheese, sour cream, etc. Enjoy!! Sometimes at the end of your workout or training session, you need that last push. Something that gets your heart rate up or "maxes out" the muscles that you were working that day. Finishers are a great way to get maximum results in a short amount of time. One of my favorite finishers is Dumbbell Jabs, Uppercuts, and Hooks. You want to make sure to use a weight that you can still control while keeping your core engaged, but that also challenges you. I would recommend 2 to 4 rounds of 20 to 45 seconds of each movement. The amount of rounds and time depends on how much energy you have left and how capable you are of maintaining proper movements. Get after it! Check out the quick demo video below! By learning more about myself I came to realize that I automatically assumed that anyone I met was not going to like me unless I proved myself to them. This caused some heavy anxiety and a lot of extra unnecessary work. Take the time to figure yourself out. I guarantee it will help you remove barriers and limits. Check out this video for more on that.... There are times in our life when we feel like we've just gone through too much. We feel like we're broken and damaged and nobody could possibly understand how we feel. Sometimes that feeling also leads us to believe that we're less of a person and that we'll never be "enough".
I would encourage you to look at this through a different lens. There are way more people who can relate to you than you think. We all struggle, we all have difficulties, and go through hard times. Those are the times that might break us down but those are also the times that give us the chance to learn, grow, and come back stronger than ever. Don't be afraid to be vulnerable and don't afraid to be real; to be the true you. Let your light shine! The world needs your unique awesomeness! |
